Twenty countries have Spanish as an official language, bumped up to twenty-one if Puerto Rico is included. Spain, the western half of South America, almost all of Central America and the Caribbean islands of Cuba, Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic all speak Spanish, plus Equatorial Guinea in Africa.
